The other 7-10% consists of synthetic polymers and resins that bind the various substances together at extremely high temperatures. This process creates a product with more consistent patterns, both appealing and exquisite. It comes in a variety of colors and creates a seamless finish. Quartz does not need to be sealed, but because of the polymers and resins used, it is not quite as rugged or durable as granite.

Quartz can be slightly more expensive than granite. Prices usually range from $60 to $100 per sq ft. At the same time, Granite averages $55-$85 per sq ft. Both are ideal choices to grace your home.
